The Funniest Sights in New York

New York.  Home to Broadway, Time Square, the Statue of Liberty, one giant rat (I still have no idea why there is a giant rat in front of an office building) and apparently many wanna-be comedians.

I appreciate a good joke and I love a witty sign.  I think that’s why I loved the NATO protester signs.  Anyway, it seems that every NY business tried to make a statement with the best business name or the funniest sign or a hilarious sales pitch.

Below are a few of my favorites.

Starting us off at number one is:

Finally, someone gets it.  They understand how much I love shoes!

Then we have the moving and storage company:

(Not sure what that actually has to do with moving and storage but it entertains me anyway.)

And this business:

No idea what they actually do but they PROBABLY do it for less.

Lots of entrepreneurs take up valuable sidewalk space set up stands on corners to sell signs.  This one is by far my favorite.

But there were several other good options.

Personally, I think any of these would be good options for a basement bar.

Finally, we have the port-o-potty appropriately named:

Little John.

I realize that not everyone appreciates toilet humor.  But it’s still funny.  You are just to classy to admit it.  Hey, someone should make a sign for that!
